Weekly Sermon: Don’t Just Do Something; Sit There!

July 27, 2014 in Sermon-Bulletin by sthagop

The main reason why Badarak can be challenging is not primarily because it’s long or it’s in Armenian, but rather because worship is completely counter-cultural.  All week we are self-centered, in worship we must be God centered.  All week we do and talk and impose our will, in church we are, we listen, we let God’s will be done.

Church Hall Fundraising Gala-An Evening to Remember!

May 27, 2014 in Church Events by sthagop

Thanks first and foremost to our hosts and benefactors Michael & Jean Shahnasarian, and also to our fundraising chair Chuck Sarkisian and gala event committee, we had an unforgettable celebration on May 9 2014 in support of the building of our church hall.  Thanks also to the Gala planning committee Michael & Jean Shahnasarian, Chuck Sarkisian, Fr. Hovnan & Yn. Anna, David Kazarian, Eileen Barsamian (and our Gala emcee Aram Megerian).

Because of the hard work of the organizers and the generosity of all our gala attendees and those donors who could not be present, we raised upwards of $165,875 from all gala related activities including tickets, donations, naming rights auction, online auction and gap payments…

“With faith we shall build!”
